Alcocks Solicitors

Alcocks Solicitors are based across 2 sites, and are a busy, growing firm with around 45 employees. Various aging technology was being used provided by a number of different companies.

The Solution

Call Portal provided an NEC SV8100 telephone system to cover the 2 sites so that it was easy to communicate between offices with a consistent voice solution from NEC. Call Portal also provided a networked IT solution from Cisco to allow the connection of data as well as voice between the sites creating a single server environment with robust back-up and security.

Sharp photocopiers were provided across the business, these were networked (Unlike the old machines), these machines provided a mix of colour and mono working as well as secure scanning and fax capability.

The next part of the solution was network integrated digital dictation. The old system with tape based machines was timely and very manual, the new solution is fast and exceptional convenient, saving considerable amounts of fee earnings valuable time.

Matthews the Printers


Matthews The Printers are a large, established, successful corporate printing firm based in Chingford, London. Mathews employee around 150 staff and work for the likes of David Lloyd, Argos and have various government contracts. Matthews The Printers were using an Avaya solution, this was proving to be inflexible and time consuming to reprogramme.

The Solution

Call Portal supplied an NEC SV8100 telephone system with in-built unified messaging, the solution has proved a real hit. Features such as mobile extensions for remote and field based staff, flexible hunt and ring group working are making Matthews life much easier on a day to day basis. The system is connected to the LAN, this means that moves, changes and reconfigs are now easy to do by Matthews own staff where as before it was a call to the old maintainer.

Commercial Vehicle Inspections


CV-i is a supplier of niche automotive services to the insurance, retail, broker and motor industry. The company was formed in 2006 with 5 staff to provide a commercial engineering inspection and repair solution for Fleets. In 2008, CV-i expanded its services with 8 staff by setting up a 24-7 call centre and manufacturing solution.

In February 2009 the staffing was increased the to 16 and in September CV-i will have increased the call centre to 40 with the capacity to take 100,000 calls a year.

The Solution

Call Portal have provided CV-i with all of the important infrastructure to run their business successfully. An NEC SV8100 solution has been deployed with multiple ISDN30 connections and a combination of NEC desktop Suite softphones running via IP, IP based handsets as well as Digital and analogue devices. MyCalls Call Centre and MyCalls Call recording is also heavily used to ensure CV-i have a realtime and historic view of every event that occurs.

Call Portal also supply a 24/7 IT support service to back-up CV-i's own in-house resource to ensure that every base is covered regards technical assistance.

Bradbury Security


Established in 1991, Bradbury Security specialises in physical security products designed and tailor made to meet each and every customers' individual security requirements. The Company's commitment to continual improvement has resulted in a product range unmatched for design, quality and value.

The Solution

Call Portal have installed an NEC SV8100 business telephone system into the head office of Bradbury Security. The NEC SV8100 telephone solution replaces an aging solution from Samsung that had come to end of life. The new system provides detailed routing and utilises new technology such as call recording and CTI integration with ACT!.

The new NEC SV8100 business telephone system installation also involved the conversation of old DASS lines to new ISDN30, this was fully managed by Call Portals in-house networks team as was the billing and integration of other UK based sites so that a single bill could be produced for all spend.

Capital Audiology


Independant Hearing Aid Consultants and Dispensers. Specialists in diagnostic audiometric and vestibular investigations. Based on Harley Street in London they are members of the HAC and provide vital care for a growing client base.

The Solution

Capital Audiology were using a telephone system and copier machines provided by the building management company within their premises, this was simply not working and was proving very costly.

Call Portal have provided a business changing solution that encompasses most of our portfolio of products and services. A new business telephone system was installed - The NEC SV8100 complete with CTI integrating to Microsoft outlook, an integrated DECT system to make it easy for the buy consultants and dispensers to always have a phone to hand and MyCalls for reporting.

A new multifunction colour device from Sharp was provided to integrate, scanning, copying and faxing from a single network based machine. The Sharp MX311 provides great performance on an extremely small foot print with colour and black and white copying at a speed of 31 pages per minute.

02 were chosen to provide a mobile solution where as Call Portal have integrated iPhones into the NEC SV8100 telephone system.

An integrated SMS solution has also been supplied to allow Capital Audiology to appointment reminders and updates via text messaging.

Call Portal also manage the calls, lines and broadband services for the business

The Solution

Junckers had an aging BT system that needed updating.

Call Portal installed a state of the Art NEC business telephone system to give a renewed solution to the business. Complete with NEC MyCalls for realtime and historic reporting and also a future option of CTI for integration into the customer databases. Part of the installation involved the sometimes tricky conversation of an old DASS line to a new ISDN30 service, all managed by Call Portal without a hitch.

D&D London

The Solution

D&D London wanted to standardize on a voice solution across it's estate, after much deliberation and due diligence Call Portal was chosen.

It is a nervous scenario to start with - Providing a solution for some of the most famous restaurants in the world. These eateries are busy and much of the time need booking months in advance to guarantee a table. Call Portal has provided many system from NEC to ensure that the booking process is simple and reliable. NEC MyCalls is also extensively used to keep ontop of resource and call levels.

Baltic Publications


Baltic Publications are the leading media publisher in the north east of England, having publications such as Print & Digital Media. Pathfinder International Magazine, FC Business Magazine, Fairgame Magazine, The Mag.

Baltic Employs upwards of 70 employees and has constant deadlines and milestones to hit so the infrastructure that runs the business is vital.

The Solution

Cal Portal have provided a turnkey technology solution that includes telecoms and IT for Baltic, this includes:

Business telephone system - NEC SV8100 with SIP and ISDN30 trunks, IP softphones, IP handsets, digital handsets as well as analogue connectivity. CTI and MyCalls reporting have also been supplied as part of the new telephone system implementation.

Call Portal have also provided the new server infrastructure that runs the business, our business partner Dell was selected complete with all necessary windows server side software. Call Portal installed around 300 Cat5 structured cabling points and provides ongoing server and desktop support to the business.
